Registration Deadlines: Fall Semester: July 1 Spring Semester: December 1

Eligibility Requirements:


Junior (11th Grade)

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Rank in the upper one-third of class (class rank)

Pre-ACT at or above the 70th percentile on composite score.

Senior (12th Grade)

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Rank in the upper one-half of class (class rank)

Pre-ACT at or above the 50th percentile on composite score.

Each section below lists the courses that fulfill specific high school graduation requirements. Some subject areas may require you to take more than one class to fulfill the credit requirement.

Example Schedules:

The schedules below are ones you can use when registering each semester. Following each schedule below will help ensure you meet STEP Academy graduation requirements.

Fall Semester Junior Year:

  • ENGL 1021: Composition I

  • MATH 1061: College Algebra I

  • HIST 1060: History of World Civilizations to 1500

  • ECON: 1021 Principles of Macroeconomics -or- ECON 1023: Principles of Microeconomics


Fall Semester Senior Year:

  • Art/STEM/Foreign Language Class

  • Science Course (See requirements for Associate Degree)

  • Electives

  • Any remaining high school graduation required courses

Spring Semester Junior Year:

  • CHEM 1020: Chemistry Concepts

  • ENGL 1022: Composition II

  • COMM 1031: Interpersonal Communication

  • Art/STEM/Foreign Language Class- You can chose any course from the Course Selection Guide above.


Spring Semester Senior Year:

  • Any courses to complete Associates Degree or for student's chosen major.
